The Mildont® 504A is also compatible with snap-in drain strainers.
Snap-in drain strainers are characterized by having no bolts, screws or other fasteners visible on their upper surface. To determine the compatibility of a snap-in drain strainer with a Mildont® 504A, gently pry it up with a screwdriver. If the drain strainer resists gentle prying, do not apply force as it may be secured by adhesive or cement.
Once free, examine the underside of the drain strainer — the Mildont® 504A is compatible with snap-in drainers having 4 prongs.
Now, measure the distance between prongs on the underside of the drain strainer. The Mildont® 504A fits snap-in drain strainers with prong-to-prong separations ranging from 2 7/8 to 3 inches, including popular models by Oatey, Casper and Florestone.
